Simple Budget is offered as a free service with advertisements and optional in app purchases. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.

By using this Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Personal Information collected is used to provide and improve the Service. We do not share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Unless otherwise defined, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from the Simple Budget app or website.
SimpleBudget lets you track budgets, expenses, and accounts, and optionally back up and sync that data using a personal account. Below is a specific breakdown of what we collect, why, and which service handles it.
If you choose to sign in (via Email, Google, or Apple Sign-In through Firebase Authentication), we collect your email address and basic profile information (such as your name, if provided by Google/Apple) to create and secure your account. This lets you access your data across devices and is required for cloud backup and sync.
Budget categories, expenses, income, accounts, and related notes you enter in the app are stored locally on your device. If you sign in and enable backup, this same financial data is also stored in Google Cloud Firestore (a Firebase service) under your account so it can be restored on other devices. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
We use Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry to automatically collect crash logs and error reports so we can fix bugs and improve stability. These reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and technical details about the error, but do not include your budget or financial data.
SimpleBudget is ad-supported and uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and use local network access on your device to help detect ad fraud and serve relevant ads. On iOS, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before using your advertising identifier for personalized ads; you can allow or deny this at any time in your device Settings. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will be less personalized.
Note: Firebase Analytics is included in the app's underlying libraries but is disabled and does not collect data.
In case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (via the tools above) on your device called Log Data. This may include your device IP address, device name, OS version, app configuration, timestamp, and other technical details.

Cookies are small data files commonly used for anonymous identifiers. While we do not use cookies directly, the app may use third-party code and libraries that do. You can accept or refuse these cookies in your device settings. Declining cookies may affect certain features of the Service.
